This four-day event with its mix of interactive and workshop sessions presented by practitioners, consultants and attorneys will offer information and provide insight into the issues and laws that confront HR departments.
Workshops, seminars and presentations specifically designed and curated to empower HR staff—whether veterans or newcomers to the world of HR—to discover new ideas, stay up-to-date on the latest research and legal issues, and learn new concepts and ideas for future implementation in the HR office or the district.
This will also help HR staff stay informed on ever-changing employment legislation, network with colleagues, and provide a forum for exchanging information on trends and ideas used in HR management today.
Having a well-trained and informed negotiation team provides the framework upon which school change and student academic success is built. This event is particularly useful when the whole district negotiating team attends and works on their skills together.

The Women in School Leadership Forum provides an inclusive environment uniting women within the education field, those occupying leadership roles, and those aspiring to advance their careers. This multi-day event centers on themes of leadership, diversity, and empowerment.
Although women are underrepresented in all areas of school leadership, more women today are finding ways to prepare for and take advantage of positions in leadership. This Women's Forum is designed to honor and value the diverse and rich strengths that make us bold and courageous leaders for the students and communities we serve. Session content addresses relevant topics within the education field and provides practical tools and resources for attendees to implement at work right away. Let's collaborate to create a more equitable environment. This flagship networking and educational opportunity aims to involve, inspire, empower, and foster connections among female education leaders.

Rounding Up the Current Critical Challenges in K-12 Education
This half-day event will cover the most highly critical issues and concerns in K-12 education such as:
the critical content of ethnic studies as a high school graduation requirement
does race matter in inclusive education?
parental rights and concerns in dealing with gender rights
artificial intelligence in education
school safety
health/wellness and drug use among youths
English language arts and math learning loss
the notion of diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice in K-12 schools

Summer Institute
Join visionary educational leaders who are committed to advancing equity and excellence in education for Latinx communities at CALSA’s Summer Institute 2024: Collective Corazón: Breaking Barriers and Inspiring Change!
With unwavering determination and a shared sense of purpose, we will convene in beautiful San Diego, June 27th - 29th, to confront the systemic barriers that impede the academic success and socioemotional well-being of all students, especially our Latinx youth. Through collaborative dialogue, innovative strategies, and the collective strength of our corazón, participants will learn strategies to dismantle institutional inequities, foster inclusive learning environments, and empower all students to reach their full potential. With a focus on advocacy, leadership development, and community engagement, #SI2024 will inspire transformative change in educational policies, practices, and perceptions so that ALL students thrive.
CALSA Summer Institute (SI) will provide a venue for educational leaders to access solutions and strategies necessary to address the needs of all students, but with special emphasis on Latino/a students. The SI will continue to promote CALSA’s values of mentoring, advocacy, networking, leadership development, and Familia through the high-impact program of activities scheduled.
